Being there for your kids.
Posted by By: Dr. Laura Berman on August 15 2017

Dr. Berman- I am an attorney. My mother was a judge.  My sister is a doctor.  We come from a family of values and a strong work ethic.  I never wanted for anything and my children don’t want for anything.  The problem is that the other mom’s (I have a 3 yr. old and a 5 yr. old) make comments to me all the time about not being there for my children.  Yes, I work 9-5 as does my husband and yes, we have a nanny- but we are there for the things that matter.  They look down at me if I miss little things at school... I feel half guilty, and then I think that my mom did it, and I turned out great.  How do I get them to shut up?  I can always sue them :) Madison
